What makes us different?

Having garnered over 200 5-star reviews on platforms such as Google, Nextdoor, and Yelp, we proudly stand as one of the highest-rated dog training services in Illinois, according to our satisfied customers.

Our team includes six skilled trainers who have undergone formal education to specialize in dog training. With a collective experience of over 50 years, these professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure your dog receives top-notch training. The distinctive training we provide is grounded in science, fostering a strong bond between the dog and the trainer.

We educate your dog in the art of effective communication with both fellow dogs and humans. The training occurs individually and in group settings, ensuring that your dog learns to respond effectively regardless of the surrounding circumstances. With our years of experience, we are adept at working with dogs of all ages and various behaviors. Our training professionals consistently enhance their knowledge by participating in seminars.

Around 4-5 months of age is the ideal time to initiate puppy training, which is when your dog’s memory begins to develop, presenting the optimal window for training. During this critical period, we will guide your pup through 30 full-day sessions over 3-4 months, taking advantage of their maturing brain to reinforce positive behaviors. Also, dog parks are not proper socialization. It's important to train dogs around other dogs that are trained and won’t bully them.

As advocates of positive rewards-based training, we take joy in acknowledging and rewarding good behavior. Remember, a well-trained dog is a gift that keeps on giving!

More about us

Our Science-Backed Training

Communicating

Discovering the art of effective communication with your dog, regardless of their age, is essential for their safety and the promotion of good manners. Training extends beyond basic commands like “come,” “sit,” and “stay.” Through positive, rewards-based training, you’ll learn how to guide inappropriate behaviors into more desirable actions while rewarding positive conduct. Training is the solution to addressing numerous undesirable behaviors. Proper socialization is among the crucial elements for ensuring your family’s happiness with your furry family members.

Puppy & Adult Socialization

Proper socialization is a fundamental component of your dog’s growth. It involves introducing them to other dogs and people while teaching them essential skills. Think of it as a kind of preschool for your furry companion. Our primary focus is to provide your dog with suitable outlets for their energy and to establish avenues for appropriate expression. This program places significant emphasis on proper socialization because many future behavior issues can be attributed to inadequate socialization.

During this part of the program, we’ll also address common issues such as nipping, jumping, and leash pulling. Numerous young dogs find themselves in challenging situations because they lack the understanding of cues from other dogs indicating a desire for space. We educate them on how to interpret and respond to these signals appropriately. The ultimate goal is to equip your dog with the ability to learn effectively. By doing so, we lay the foundation for their future success in mastering any new skills or behaviors they wish to work on.

Upon finishing our Doggie Kindergarten, both you and your dog will possess the skills to maintain positive behaviors for a lifetime. Additionally, you'll participate in four mandatory parent-teacher conferences to ensure continued success.

Basic Obedience & Manners Training

This program encompasses all aspects of puppy and adult dog development, including the essential introduction to commands like “Sit”, “Down”, “Place”, and “Leave it”. This segment of the program is tailored for owners who integrate their lives with or around their dogs.

Day in the Life

Your dog’s schedule mirrors that of a full-day kindergarten. Drop-off is between 7-9 am, and pick-up is from 3-5:30 pm, offering flexibility as we only count the days your furry friend attends. Your dog will engage in active playgroup training and receive private training sessions daily from the moment they arrive until you collect them. Expect your dog to return home each day, not only better behaved but also pleasantly tired.

Each program includes private Parent-Teacher Conferences for you and your entire family.

While your dog undergoes training, you will also receive instruction. Each household is expected to participate in four 30-45 minute parent-teacher conferences. During these sessions, we will explain  the principles of canine behavioral science to you. We will educate you on understanding “WHAT” your dog is thinking, comprehending the “WHY” behind their thoughts, and equipping you with the knowledge of “HOW” to address various situations that may arise.

These sessions are dedicated to teaching you what your dog has learned. At our school, we educate your dog on proper interactions with other dogs and people, teaching them to read signals effectively. In essence, we educate your dog on effective communication with both other dogs and people.

Our training methods encompass a range of techniques, including treats, toys, positive reinforcement, clicker training, and both classical and operant conditioning. Our primary focus is on fostering your dog’s emotional stability through exposure to various stimuli.

It’s not uncommon for dogs to grapple with anxiety, and our full-day training is a valuable resource to alleviate this. We teach your dog how to function independently of their owners, effectively managing their anxiety. This approach ensures that, regardless of the circumstances, your dog will place their trust in you and others, gaining the confidence to navigate everyday life. Upon completing our program, both you and your dog will have undergone significant training, fostering a strong and harmonious relationship.

Many dogs suffer from anxiety. By coming to us for all day training this will help curb this anxiety. We will teach your dog how to function without their owners.

We are treat, toy, positive reinforcement, clicker, repetitive classical and operant conditions trainers.

You bring your dog from 7-9am and pick up your dog from 3-5:30pm, just like full day kindergarten.  Your dog will come 10 full days a month for 3 Months or a total of 30 school days. (this is a flexible schedule and we only count the days your fur baby shows up).

Your dog will be in active playgroup training and receive private training sessions every day. They are training from the minute they walk in the door until you pick them up. Your dog will come home better behaved and tired each day.

At our school we will teach your dog how to meet dogs and people appropriately and READ THEIR SIGNS.

Required every program are Four private Parent Teacher Conferences for you and your whole family. This is where we teach you what your dog is learning.

When you are done with our program both you and your dog will be trained, and you'll gain access to exclusive controlled training daycare, which we only offer to our program alumni. This creates a fantastic and enjoyable learning environment for your dog.

We provide complimentary consultations, where you can meet our team and trainers who will be teaching your dog.

Have you considered the costs of hiring the wrong dog trainers?

Beyond the evident monetary investment, it's crucial to account for the time spent on training sessions and associated activities. Moreover, consider the missed opportunities for your dog's socialization and positive reinforcement that might result from ineffective training. If switching trainers becomes necessary, anticipate the repetition of training efforts, both in terms of time and money. Reflect on the long-term effects of your relationship with your dog and the missed chance to have a well-behaved, happy, and socialized companion.

We provide an affordable Puppy Introduction Course at just $50 per hour. This course will guide you on what you should be doing with your new furry companion, and it is a great way to get your foot in the door!

While most programs last less than 3 weeks, ours extends over 3-4 months with 30 sessions, equating to approximately 2 full days of training each week. Surprisingly, our program is often more cost-effective than a board and train option, starting as low as $76.50 per day.
